We love this lake..in all its moods. Lots of features and we let the wind dictate which series of drop offs we drift over for the pike. Summer on the fly is amazing, autumn is moody and winter can be wild but it really is a case of 360 degrees of picture postcards. Not only are there good pike but we do meet an occasional Ferox trout. Like the yard of fish with a shovel tail that hit Keith Robinsons plug last september. This trout knew what it was doing as it ran towards the boat then leaped and hung three feet in the air a rod length from us . We saw every single spot as it shook the lure free then crashed back. No we didn’t get a photograph but some memories are etched deeper than simple pictures!!
