For many anglers the art of Fly Fishing provides the ultimate angling experience. The delights of creeping stealthily into position, choosing then casting an artificial fly to tempt a wild trout rising steadily in a wild clear river, is often said to be the best that angling has to offer. For some of us though it is the thrill of battling with huge Pike on a fly rod that gets the heart racing or perhaps it might be the fascinating and often infuriating pursuit of the mighty atlantic salmon on an exclusive beat of the Eden or Derwent.
But whatever your choice, the timeless elegance of fly casting is a readily acquired skill and a days practical tuition will set you on the road to a lifetimes enjoyment. Eric is a member of the Game Angling Instructors Association and has introduced hundreds of anglers to the delights of fly fishing.
A typical beginners session will involve spending time learning to cast safely and efficiently before putting it all into practice with a practical fishing session on either a local stocked trout fishery or down the river. By the end of the session most clients will be well on the way to becoming a very good fly angler.
