More than just fishing

Its not often I break away from fish talk on this page but here’s a first. Cos this entry has little to do with fish!! Instead its a blatant plug for a good cause. Check out www.moving-mountains.co.uk This should take you to the site set up by my wife Sue in support of raising awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. My step daughter Carrie has was diagnosed with the disease at only 26 years old and along with a dozen other ladies of the Keswick area, both Carrie and Sue walked into the mountains last winter and posed naked for a photo shoot that ended up as the calendar of the year. Sue has appeared on loads of radio and telly programmes to publicise the calendar. Available from the online address at the site they cost £10.00 with all the money going to the MS society. On a slightly different note Sue has also set up her own business as a ladies Lake District companion, offering guided low level walks, tourist trails, shopping advice and the best possible days out. Born in st Johns in the vale Sue has unrivalled local knowledge of fells, sights and secret places for which the area is famous. Drop her a line via the contact section of the this site and let Sue give your lady as good a day out as you will have fishing.
